A at Lamppost

“A at Lamppost” development, at 12500 Lamppost Lane, contains 17 multi-bedroom, townhouse-style homes for purchase by families making 60-70% of Austin’s Median Family Income (MFI). It is the first development utilizing the “Affordability Unlocked” ordinance to break ground in Austin. A at Lamppost sold out in 2022.
A at East St Johns

The new development in the St. Johns neighborhood contains six units, three of which are for sale at 80% MFI. A at East St. Johns is located in north central Austin with high transit access, proximity to neighborhood parks, new developments, and extensive supportive services. It utilized the “Affordability Unlocked” ordinance.
Seabrook Square I

Seabrook Square is an affordable housing project in collaboration with Capital A Housing, The NHP Foundation, and Integral Care that will bring a total of 204 housing units in the J.J. Seabrook neighborhood of east Austin. Seabrook Square will provide maximum affordability for both residents and local businesses to foster an inclusive community and to support the health and well-being of the J.J. Seabrook community through green space, ecosystem services, active transportation linkages, and public art.
Integral Care at Seabrook Square II

Part of Seabrook Square, Integral Care will operate 60 units of permanent supportive housing in the J.J. Seabrook Neighborhood of East Austin. They will provide long-term, permanent supportive housing for Austinites experiencing homelessness and suffering from mental illness or substance abuse disorder.
Urban Empowerment Zone

A new-construction 80-unit building will be owned and operated by Austin Area Urban League, supported by the Supportive Housing Collaborative network, and on-site property management team. This project will provide long-term, permanent supportive housing for Austinites experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
The Lancaster
60 Units | Supportive | Austin, TX
Partner: SAFE, H+UO, Civilitude, City of Austin, TDHCA, Travis County, HEB, Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, Texas State Bank
A new-construction, 5-story building with 60 units of permanent supportive housing in the Mueller area of Austin. The building was designed in partnership with SAFE Alliance, who will be the owner and operator of the building. The building was custom-designed with trauma-informed architecture to serve victims of sexual assault and domestic violence who are experiencing homelessness. The buildings studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units will serve singles and people with young children. The building has ground-floor offices for on-site social workers, communal spaces for social gatherings, a library, a children’s playroom, and an interior courtyard for light and air, and has 24/7 secured, controlled access.
The $22 million project was funded through the City of Austin’s Housing Finance Corporation, a Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs HOME-ARP award, a Travis County award of ARPA funds, a philanthropic gift from H-E-B, and project-based vouchers from the Housing Authority of the City of Austin. Capital A Housing served as a fee developer: conceived of the project, secured the land, led fundraising, permitted and rezoned the property, led the design team, and managed construction. The SAFE Alliance Affordable Housing Corporation is the full, non-profit owner.
Real Gardens

Family Eldercare at Real Gardens will be a new-construction 60-unit building to be owned and operated by an experienced supportive housing-focused non-profit organization. Real Gardens will provide high-quality housing paired with voluntary, wrap-around services for older adults who have experienced long-term trauma, violence, and homelessness.
Webberville Trauma Transformation Center
40 Beds | Supportive | Austin, TX
Partner: City of Austin, Travis County, Civilitude, A New Entry
Capital A Housing will execute lightweight rehabilitation of an existing building and development of a new building to be owned and operated by an experienced non-profit organization, A New Entry. They will provide transitional housing and substance abuse treatment for Austinites experiencing homelessness, specifically those recovering from substance use.
The Works III
120 Units | Supportive | Austin, TX
Partner: Lifeworks, ForgeCraft, Coleman and Associates, Civilitude, American Campus
LifeWorks at Tillery will be a new-construction 120-unit building to be owned and operated by Lifeworks, an experienced non-profit organization focused on ending youth homelessness. They will provide high-quality housing paired with voluntary, wrap-around services for Austin youth and young adults with histories of homelessness, system involvement, early parenthood, and complex trauma.
